Equal opportunity in education means ensuring a quality education system to which every individual has equal access, regardless of their nationality, economic status, gender or other factors.
"Every student has the right to education and this right should not be limited in any way." This is precisely what the concept of equal opportunity in education refers to. This concept has emerged to address the injustice in access to education due to people's different socio-economic backgrounds.
While education should be one of the most fundamental rights of individuals, it is actually sad to discuss whether it is equal or not. Unfortunately, there are still too many children, young people and adults around the world who are unable to access to the same quality of education. We observe that this situation is especially evident in low-income societies.
The first step to ensure equal opportunities in education is pre-school education.
If we think of a child as a sapling, preschool education is the most important stage where these seeds should be planted with 0-6 years being the most important period in which children develop social skills. In order for children to become successful individuals in their later years, basic preparation, in other words, pre-school education opportunities should be offered equally to all children and an environment should be created for them to benefit from these equal opportunities. For children who do not have access to equal opportunities, it is possible to raise awareness on this issue and realize projects to solve this problem.
Another important issue for equal opportunity in education is the use of technology. Technology brings a different dimension to the learning process of students. Online education, digital resources and teaching materials provide students with more resources and are very important in improving the learning process. Providing students with access to technology is a point that should be emphasized in terms of equal opportunity in education.
Supporting the education of our children, the bright face of our future, in every sense and paving the way for them should be one of the top priorities of societies.

Our Great Leader, while gifting April 23rd to the children of the world, also marked his name in history as the only leader who shared this special day with the whole world. While protecting this value, we must fulfill our responsibility as individuals and as a society.
